…It’s Things Thursday: Time Machine?

Time Machine

It’s hard to imagine a clock that’s cooler than the Time Machine.

Instead of hands, the Time Machine drops a chrome ball down a wooden track every sixty seconds. As the balls stack up, the numbers that they come to rest next to tell the time.

It’s loud, it’s imprecise, and it’s severely over complicated, but I challenge you to try and find a more interesting way of counting off the minutes.

The man is either a cat working on his ninth life, or he’s indestructible. Either way, I can’t wait to see what he thinks of next.

…CNN puts you in the middle of the action?

To help us understand and experience what’s going on in Haiti as they recover from the devastating earthquake that destroyed Port-au-Prince recently, CNN is using 360° cameras to capture footage that can then be manipulated by the viewer, allowing you to pan and zoom around the scene as if you were there.

…It’s Tuner Tuesday: Lazareth’s Renault Twingo V8 Trophy?

A typical Renault Twingo makes 75 horsepower. A typical Renault Twingo V8 Trophy that has gone through the Lazareth shop makes 180 horsepower. If that formula doesn’t spell success, then nothing will!

The added power comes from a 3.5-liter Range Rover V8, which gets stuffed between the rear subframe and turns the French tuner into a terror. Along with the extra engine, the Twingo Trophy gets a fully custom widebody kit, new rims and tires, and a heaping helping of flat matte paint.

The result is supercar performance in a package that’s just larger than a go-kart, proving once again that you should never judge a book by it’s teeny tiny cover.
