Memoirs of a Scanner is a short film that was shot entirely on the bed of a Canon scanner, one scan at a time.

Despite those limitations (or perhaps because of them) the story is rather interesting, and makes you wonder just what the scanners of the world are privy to exactly:

A Brief History of Pretty Much Everything is a flipbook style animation made with just biro pens and about 2100 pages spanned across 50 jotter books, and it took the artist roughly three weeks to complete. After watching it though, I’d say that was time well spent:

Ataque de Panico! (Panic Attack) is a film from Fede Alvarez, an until-now-unknown producer from Uruguay who claims to have made the short for about $300.

Cue the internet’s viral machine, and 1.5 million views later, Fede has been given an offer from Ghost House Pictures to make a feature-length film for a slightly larger budget of around $30 million.

How’s that for ROI?

You must admit though, for $300, the guy’s definitely got some talent:

Truckers Delight is a music video that takes Spielberg’s Duel and Russ Meyer’s Faster Pussycat Kill Kill! and Marc Dorcel’s wildest fantasies and warps them into an 8-bit, Sega style animation.

It’s also NSFW (though it’s animated, so it’s not the worst thing in the world) so watch with care:

Lucas Martell must have been channeling some serious Pixar vibes when he worked on his latest short, because Pigeon: Impossible is an impressive piece of animation.

The story is about a rookie secret agent who faces with a problem seldom covered in basic training: what to do when a curious pigeon gets trapped inside your multi-million dollar, government-issued nuclear briefcase.
