…flickr lets you geotag your photos?

flickr

flickr, the king of photo sharing, has added a new feature called Geotagging, allowing users to drag and drop their photos onto a Yahoo map, which marks them with the location information (city/state/country) and the latitude and longitude. You can then create a map-based view of all of your photosets, browse your photos on a Yahoo based map page, or search and browse flickr photos from other users by location. In the first day of Geotagging, 1,234,384 photos were tagged, showing that this is a feature people are definitely interested in and that the service is also easy to use. If you’ve got a flickr account, tag a few of your photos, or just browse around and see the sites from locations across the US.
