Keith Lam’s movingMario is a fantastically classic art installation that takes the Mario experience and transfers virtual movement into real world experience.
Of course there’s an artsy explanation for everything, and he probably dives a bit deep into the symbolism of it all, but it’s hard to argue that the results aren’t cool:
Check out theDemos and Flickr for a full rundown of what was involved.

Awesome idea, would’ve been cooler with collision detection etc. though ^^
Also, the video is kind of … long, it explains everything ten times, although you can understand the whole Concept after the first 20 seconds (when the ?-box shows you the shroom) everything after that is pretty much useless.
…. “And the LEFT button moves the SCREEN to the LEFT, NOT the BACKOUND! (Duh)”
Other then that, really cool idea ! :D
What ? you deleted the comment ? Very mature of you … It’s not like I said it sucked O_o, I really liked it, just the video is, and I’m sure most people would agree, simply too long and boring.
Everyone I’ve showed it to does agree that the first 20 seconds are everything you need to see, everything else is useless, nothing interesting is presented afterwords.
