…You need to think differently?

Apple’s Think Different commercial is probably one of the most inspiring 60 seconds ever captured on film:

A few weeks ago, I came to the conclusion that if I listened to the Think Different ad every day, I’d probably do some amazing things with my life, so I created a ringtone out of the 30-second Seinfeld version that can be used as an alarm on any iPhone. Now, before starting each day, I can wake with inspiration to Think Different, and remind myself that the people who are crazy enough to think they can change the world are the ones who do. (If you’re wondering, I used this GarageBand Hack to make the ringtone.)

If you’d like to share in my inspiration, just download the ringtone HERE and add it to your phone through iTunes. From there, it should automatically show up as an available alarm sound.

…It’s Website Wednesday: You Fell Asleep While Watching a DVD?

You Fell Asleep While Watching a DVD

You know you’ve done it: You’re up late watching a movie, and getting pretty tired, but you think you can make it through the end.

Suddenly you wake up in the middle of the night, and realize that the movie ended while you were asleep on the couch, and for the last who knows how many hours, the same few minutes that make up the DVD’s menu have been looping over and over like some sort of terribly ineffective alarm.

In case that’s never happened to you, or in case you want to relive the terrible moment of tired realization all over again, a delightfully simple website called “You Fell Asleep While Watching a DVD” is here to help.

Just select your movie from favorites like Knocked Up, Terminator 2, Reservoir Dogs, and more, and kick back on the fake sofa as the repeating music and oddly selected clips lull you into a trance that only a true movie watching professional will be familiar with.

…Your alarm can be deadly?

Phaser Blasted Alarm Clock

Have you ever just wanted to shoot your alarm in the morning and go back to bed?

(Or perhaps the better question is, have you ever NOT wanted to shoot your alarm in the morning and go back to bed?)

Well now you can, thanks to a clever bit of electronic hacking and modification.

The Phaser Blasted Alarm Clock uses a gaming gun to shoot the alarm to sleep, and also integrates a tilt sensor so that you can change the time and set the alarm using just the gun itself.

…It’s Things Thursday: Casio G-Shock?

Casio G-Shock

Despite (or perhaps because of) their ‘80s/retro style and unique look and functionality, Casio’s G-Shock watches continue to be popular among the hip and trendy.

Their latest series of limited edition watches, the G5500C series (aka Vivid Colors), features a unique solar technology which “combines a super sensitive solar panel with a high capacity rechargeable battery to power high-load functions”.

There are three colors to choose from, and other features of the Vivid Colors series include shock resistance, 200M water resistance, World Time (48 cities), 4 Daily Alarms and 1 Snooze Alarm, Hourly Time Signal, Countdown timer, 1/100 Sec. Stopwatch, 12/14 Hr. Format, Battery Level Indicator, Power Save Function Tone and Button Tone Operation On/Off.

…The Open Edition LED Clock will change your perception of time?

Open Edition LED Clock

What time is it? With the Open Edition LED Clock, who cares? It’s always time to look trendy with a new style of clock that no one but you can understand. From the website:

A series of four cubes, each displaying one glowing number. When placed in order, current time is displayed normally. When placed in “dis”order, time is completely rearranged.

This would make the perfect alarm clock if they figured out how to move the snooze button to a new cube each time you try and get that extra 10.
