Let your Mac boot in style with BootXChanger, a simple application that allows you to replace the gray apple with something with a bit more pizzazz.
You can choose from a variety of images, including the colored Apple logo, the Happy Mac and more, or make your own if you’re feeling extra adventurous.
How does Nike come up with the design for a snowboard boot like the new Danny Kass Double Tongue Zoom Force 1?
Apparently there’s a lot of weird mustard and yellow snow involved:
According to Danny,
The pattern is of a seventies flash back inspired by the music of that generation. With the old and the new we bring you a very limited piece to make you feel good!
In addition to the boot, Nike is also releasing an entire kit of products, including a lightweight shell and graphic tees:

The 2008 MacMod Mod of the Year has been announced, and a Pre-AGP Mac running Leopard has been declared the winner.
While not quite as visually impressive as the other entries, which included a TiN’ed iPhone, a Cube with liquid cooling, a Mac made of Legos, and even a Mac shoved inside of an Xbox 360, the judges felt that James Little’s (aka jimjamyahauk’s) milestone of being the first person to get Leopard to run (or even boot!) on any pre-AGP Mac was definitely worthy of the prize.
Be sure to check out the site for more details on each of the entries, including build photos and detailed specs and info.
If you were disappointed by the fact that Apple used MacWorld to debut a new, larger laptop rather than a smaller, netbook style computer that many had hoped for, then worry not, because one clever modder named Gregory has found a way to turn an Asus Eee PC into the mini Mac of your dreams.
Called the Eee Mac, it’s a 9-inch netbook that uses a custom install of OS X, and even includes a glowing Apple logo in the back that’ll really psyche your friends out. Plus, the wi-fi, USB, SD, and most things work, with the exception of the ethernet port and the camera, and it boots in just 40 seconds into either OS X or Linux.
Not ready to dig into the case? Then Gregory also makes a 22mb disk image available that will get you up and running on your very own Eee Mac with just the addition of a retail OS X disc.
Ever wonder what you’re supposed to do with all of those funny looking FireWire ports that are sticking out of the side of your computer? Well thankfully, MacApper has put together a pretty comprehensive guide that covers just about every unique use that you can get out of the USB alternative. Features include:
