The iTunes 8.1 update includes a new feature that I think has gone unjustly unnoticed: The new iTunes DJ. Now, in addition to acting as the world’s cheapest Sonos, the iPhone and iTunes combo can help turn you into the world’s best DJ.
The iTunes DJ playlist builder, which is designed to keep the music flowing at any party, allows you to collaboratively build a playlist with any of your friends that have an iPhone and the Remote app installed. With the app, they can log into the iTunes DJ playlist builder, view your library, suggest songs that should be added to the playlist, vote on upcoming songs, and generally help match the music to the mood of a party.
It’s easy to set up, with just a few check boxes and a welcome screen to enable, and once you’re up and running, the music you play will always be what a majority of the party-goers want to hear. (Hopefully…)
How cool is that?

Theory11, the ‘underground magic & cardistry epicenter’ has created a line of playing cards that are simply unparalleled.
Lines include Propaganda (Playing cards uniquely engineered to military precision, with original, iconic style and unsurpassed quality. A refreshing, industrial spin on modern playing card design with a best in class feel and finish.) Bicycle Centurions (the next standard in playing card design) Bicycle Guardians (The traditional Bicycle back design has been reborn.) and a collaboration with David Blaine called Split Spades, and each is more stunning than the next.
If you’re a poker player, magician, or just someone that wants a little extra design in everything you touch, then definitely check out what Theory11 has to offer, but do it soon, because these cards just might vanish before your very own eyes.

Aaron Rose and DC Shoes have teamed up to create the Rose Mid as part of DC’s Artist Projects.
The shoe, which is available in either a black or wheat colorway, features an interior lined with plaid fabric and custom designed gum soles, with a repeating teardrop pattern that has a single clear teardrop to expose the cork interior.
The shoes come in a custom designed shoe bag, along with a mini ‘zine of Rose’s work, and a Rose designed box.
It’s all designed to pay tribute to the mod, punk and Goth styles that inspired Aaron as a kid, and made him what he is today.
It’s a testament to all the collaborations I’ve had throughout the years that have brought me to this position where someone like DC would come and ask me to make a shoe.”

These Nike SB/Concepts collaboration shoes are amazing!
Themed after the lobster, these Dunk Lows are done up in lobster red leather, table cloth pattern lining, and a rubber band around the toe.
To complete the theme, they even come in a lobster trap box with the size printed on the size as a number of pounds.
I’m agreeing with Kitsune Noir on this one: Even if it is a ridiculous idea, the execution is so well thought out that it actually works.
Available exclusively at Concepts.
