…Transworld gave Forum an Environmental Awakening?

Environmental Awakening

Recently, Transworld Snowboarding let four teams of snowboarders from Burton, Forum, Rome and DC compete at four separate, elite resorts across the West in an all-new Team Shoot Out event focusing on the creativity of not just the riding, but the whole process of the event itself. Teams had two-weeks to produce the ultimate terrain park shoot, and had to document it in video and photos to showcase the visual power and possibility in snowboarding.

Though the full shootout doesn’t debut for a few more weeks, the Forum team section has been released, and it’s EPIC. Called Environmental Awakening, it stars Pat Moore, Peter Line, Daniel Ek, Nic Sauve and Cameron Pierce, and combines crazy camera angles, insane stunts and random environmental elements into an assault on the senses.

Watch, and enjoy:

…It’s Website Wednesday: Moleskine?

Moleskine

Moleskine has just unleashed a new website on the world, and in addition to their ever growing catalog of legendary notebooks, Moleskine has also introduced the ability to print out your life in the Moleskin format so that you can easily add content to your Moleskine notebook from a variety of sources.

Moleskine Format

For now, the site’s pretty empty, but with the new features that they’ve added in, the Moleskine community should be growing in no time, and before you know it, Moleskine’s own site will serve as the hub for notebook based creativity around the world.

…Electrabel’s 2008 Pixilation was beautiful?

Electrabel 2008 Pixilation

Electrabel decided to say goodbye to 2008 in a beautiful way with a fantastic pixilation that was made with more than 288,000 individual candles, a lot of time, and a ton of creativity. Enjoy:

And if you’d like top see how they did it, check out the fantastic making-of video as well, though unfortunately it’s French with Dutch subtitles, so you may just have to guess at what they’re saying:

…It’s Tuner Tuesday: BMW M5 Ute?

BMW M5 Ute

I’m going to have to agree with Stuart Appleby on this one: To say that his project is “a bit out of left field” is one hell of an understatement.

His goal: To turn a BMW E39 M5 into a “ute” by chopping off the back end and custom fabing the rest to make it work.

He’s definitely going for creativity points with this one!

Thankfully, he’s sharing both his decision making process, and his progress online, so you can follow along as one of BMW’s best cars gets turned into one of BMW’s only trucks.

It might not be for everyone, but for Stuart, it’s a dream come true.

…It’s Things Thursday: Modofly?

Modofly Moleskin

Modofly is an artist collaborative that hopes to “inspire artists and users alike with the hope that they themselves will be continually fueled by the feedback loop that happens when people work together”.

Their laser-etched Moleskin notebook line features fantastic covers that have been designed by top artists, and then laser-etched onto the outside to help fuel your creativity.

Since artists mostly fueled the Moleskin revolution anyways, why not just get one that makes the outside look as good as the creativity trapped inside?
