…Go-karts need more power?

Hayabusa Kart

There are two recipes for fast:

  1. Power + Power = Fast
  2. Power – Weight = Fast

While the Bugatti Veyron is obviously king of the former, a much smaller competitor is trying to become the king of the latter: The Hayabusa Kart.

By taking a shifter cart chassis and strapping on 1,300 cc’s of Suzuki Hayabusa power, the power to weight ratio goes through the roof, and the end result is a kart that wants to do little more than fly forward in a straight line.

Sure, it doesn’t turn, it doesn’t handle bumps very well, and it’s probably not street legal, but who wants to worry about all of those things when you could be out roasting the tires off of a kart with a deadly amount of ground only an inch away?

…Beauty pageants are dangerous?

Ingrid Marie RiveraThis story is almost too good to be true: During this year’s Miss Puerto Rico pageant, Ingrid Marie Rivera managed to win, despite having her gown and make-up spiked with pepper spray.

Though composed onstage, Marie had to run backstage and strip off her clothes to apply ice bags to her face and body as she swelled up and broke out in hives twice during the competition.

Need a bit of extra excitement to add to the movie script?

Due to a bomb threat, officials had already postponed the last day of the pageant to ensure everyone’s safety.

Who knew the world of beauty could be so deadly?
