The Bentley Continental Supersports might not look very green, but as the company’s first FlexFuel vehicle, it is. (Kinda.)
The ‘Extreme Bentley’ is also the fastest and most powerful car to wear a flying B on the hood, with a 621 hp E85-compatible W12 propelling the car to 60 in just 3.7 seconds, and giving it a top speed of 204 mph.
In addition, the car receives carbon ceramic brakes, 24 lbs of weight reduction, a dark-smoked steel finish on all ‘brightware’ (front grilles, lamp bezels, window surrounds and wheels) and plenty of carbon fiber to go around, both inside and out.
It’s definitely not your father’s Bentley, but in this case, that’s definitely not a bad thing.
The 2008 MacMod Mod of the Year has been announced, and a Pre-AGP Mac running Leopard has been declared the winner.
While not quite as visually impressive as the other entries, which included a TiN’ed iPhone, a Cube with liquid cooling, a Mac made of Legos, and even a Mac shoved inside of an Xbox 360, the judges felt that James Little’s (aka jimjamyahauk’s) milestone of being the first person to get Leopard to run (or even boot!) on any pre-AGP Mac was definitely worthy of the prize.
Be sure to check out the site for more details on each of the entries, including build photos and detailed specs and info.
Popdeck is “the first design community just for skateboarders”.
Like Threadless, Popdeck lets designers upload their designs to the site, and then users can vote on them to select the winners. Unlike Threadless, winning designs end up becoming limited edition skateboard decks that probably aren’t as comfortable to wear as a t-shirt would be.
Each deck is hand numbered, and if you’re going to buy a board anyways, I don’t see why you wouldn’t want one that looks good and isn’t owned by every kid on the block.
TheBlackApp is calling itself “The first iPhone consumer network”, and since “space is limited”, they encourage you to register in advance for a launch date of June 5. (They also assure you that, no, this is not a stunt.)
There are three different levels of TheBlackApp (Black, Gold, and Silver) and it looks like the benefits will depend on which level you are a part of, so sign up now to reserve your spot.
Though it might not be the first (and it might not be real) a Twitter proposal for marriage has been made (and accepted!) between maxkiesler and emily chang.
Is there anything left that hasn’t yet been tweeted about?

Buzzword is “the first real word processor for the web”.
Though this description sounds rather boring, the site itself is rather impressive.
Basically an online version of Word, it’s built in Flash, so there’s plenty of fancy features, and the online interface means you can use it on either a Mac or a PC.
Another advantage of online [...]
