Benjamin Heckendorn (better known as Ben Heck), famous for his Xbox 360 laptop, has once again shocked and awed with his hacking prowess by creating a Wii laptop. Features include:
- 16:9 widescreen LCD, 7-inch diagonal
- Stereo sound
- Gamecube controller port
- Built-in short range Sensor Bar
- Ports for using original Sensor Bar and A/V output jacks (for use on external display)
- Built-in power supply and compartment for power cord
- Dimensions: 8.5 x 7.7 x 2 inches
What’s impressive is not the fact that he can put the Wii into a laptop form factor, because I’m assuming that it’s not that hard to strap a screen on top and convert it to run off of batteries, but rather the overall execution of his work. The Wii laptop looks like it could have come straight from Nintendo (with a little Apple flavor thrown in), and everything fits together so perfectly. Good work Ben, your work has earned you a spot as today’s DYH man among men.
