Spyker’s C8 Laviolette LM85 is based on their GT2R race car that’s based on their C8 Laviolette, and despite a strange heritage, this looks like one rad ride.
Featuring a 4.2-liter Audi V8 that produces 400 horsepower, a 6-speed manual feeds that power to the black powder coated alloy wheels, which are then stopped (when needed) by 6-piston AP Racing brakes.
The paint scheme is derived from their GT2R, a carbon fiber spoiler rounds out the rear, and the interior features plenty of black leather and alcantara to justify the price tag.
No word on what that price tag might be, but it’s pretty safe to assume that this Dutch beauty won’t be cheap.
Joe Bravo must have been hungry when he decided to become an artists, because tortillas have become his canvas of choice. Why? I’ll let Joe explain it:
I use the Tortilla as a Canvas because it is an integral part of the Hispanic Culture and my heritage. For the subject matter of my tortilla paintings, I use imagery that is representative of Latinos, conveying their hopes, art, beliefs and history. As the tortilla has given us life, I give it new life by using it as an art medium.
Joe doesn’t just use any old tortilla though:
The preparation of the tortilla for painting is as important as the actual painting itself. I first bake several tortillas to get the right texture, shape and coloration for the image I want to paint.
When finished, the acrylic paintings are sealed to prevent against moisture and insects (and hungry art connoisseurs), and then displayed for the world to enjoy. Tasty.
College Saga, a film by Mark Leung, is the Final Fantasy style quest of three students from suburban Massachusetts who step up to end Vegetarian Supremacy. It’s a well-edited saga about friendship, heritage, sex and explosions, and well worth the 41 minutes you’ll put into watching it.
