…You can be a Space Ambassador?

NSS Space Ambassador Program

Have you ever wanted to go into space? (Is there anyone that hasn’t?)

If you have a passion for space, and would like to share your enthusiasm with others, then the National Space Society and Virgin Galactic would like to make you a Space Ambassador, and one lucky space ambassador will even get a chance to fly into space aboard a Virgin Galactic space flight.

As a Space Ambassador, you will be trained to deliver an inspirational, multi-media presentation that describes the importance of space in our daily lives, as well as the promise and possibilities that future space endeavors will enable.

If this sounds like a kick ass idea to you, then head on over to the National Space Society website and register for the NSS Space Ambassador Program before it’s too late, because space isn’t going to wait around forever you know.

…Mozy is safe, simple and secure online backup?

If you’re looking to backup the most important files on your Mac in a safe, simple and secure way, then check out Mozy, a new automatic online backup system.

In addition to being safe, simple and secure, if you can keep your use to less than 2 GB of total space, then Mozy is free, with no setup fees, credit cards, monthly payments or expirations.

Features include:

  • Open/locked file support: Mozy will back up your documents whether they’re open or closed.
  • 128-bit SSL encryption: The same technology used by banks secures your data during the backup process.
  • 448-bit Blowfish encryption: Secures your files while in storage, providing peace of mind that your private data is safe from hackers.
  • Automatic: Schedule the times to back up and MozyHome does the rest.
  • New and changed file detection: MozyHome finds and saves the smallest changes.
  • Backs up Outlook files: Disaster-proof email protection.
  • Block-level incremental backup: After the initial backup, MozyHome only backs up files that have been added or changed, making subsequent backups lightning fast.

As someone who has lost important files before, I can’t help but sing the praises of a backup solution. Plus, with an online backup solution like Mozy, your files are stored in a safe, external location, keeping them safe even if your computer ever happens to be in a fire or other natural disaster.

…The LIP Mythic Jump Hour is unique?

LIP Mythic Jump Hour

The LIP Mythic Jump Hour Watch features three separate discs for hours, minutes, and seconds that spin exposed on the dial and then line up in the viewing window to tell the time.

With a stainless steel case, leather strap, and Swiss quartz movement, the LIP Mythic Jump Hour is also guaranteed to work as good as it looks.

A collaboration separated by thirty years with the 1970’s “TV case & strap” design by Roger Tallon and updated as a jumping hour display by French designer Prisca Briquet for LIP.

LIP watches have been around for over 150 years but were unavailable in the United States until now. The company is reintroducing some of their most important models from a modern collection that remains as visionary today as when first unveiled 35 years ago. Most are faithful recreations while others have been updated with new designer visions.

…Flickr has a lot of photos?

Flickr - Two Billionth Photo

Though it looks like any other photo, this photo of a sculpture, taken in front of Market City in the Chinatown Haymarket of Sydney, Australia is important, because it marks the milestone of Flickr’s two billionth photo! (Billionth with a B!)

Good to know there’s at least a few people putting their digital camera to good use.
