PixelCase’s Aerial Virtual Tour of New York is an amazing look at the Big Apple from above thanks to the combined photography of Oleg Gaponyuk and Andrei Zubets.
Once inside the panorama you can look around and zoom in and out, and when viewed in fullscreen, it reminds me a lot of the intro scene from The Dark Knight that was shot in IMAX, including the slight knot you’ll get in your stomach if you’re at all afraid of heights.
Scarygirl was abandoned and washed up on a deserted peninsula, and is now on a mission to find the man behind her haunting dreams.
Part puzzle game, part platformer, part adventure game, and part art project, it’s an amazingly unique experience, and the Flash intro alone will have you wondering how such a great game is available for free.
After 20 seasons of living in the land of standard definition, The Simpsons made the move to HD last night, and in honor of that change, Fox debuted a new main title sequence, the first change to the intro credits since the show began.
It’s an extended cut, so it’ll probably get trimmed down for subsequent episodes, but there are plenty of hidden gems along the new path, and Simpsons fans will no doubt be digging through all of the references for the next few weeks trying to match them all to their original episode.
Enjoy:
(And if you’d like to watch the full episode, just head on over to Fox’s Fox on Demand service.)
