If you want to turn your Jeep Wrangler into the ultimate off-road vehicle, then hand it over to American Expedition Vehicles and let them give it the full Brute conversion.
Designed to be stylish, bold and bruteiful, the Brute kit turns your TJ into a truck with more headroom thanks to a hardtop with skylights, increased storage space thanks to an all-steel bed, and a longer wheelbase thanks to frame extensions that are also designed to mount a winch.
Best of all, the kit can be installed in your garage in about 60 hours, giving you plenty of time to hit the trails after a long weekend of wrenching away.
EarthRoamer Xpedition Vehicles are designed to take you to the end of the world and back in extreme comfort without the need for external power or utility hook ups.
In addition, they’re also designed to preserve the environment that they roam through, with solar energy used as the primary power source for lights and appliances, and biodiesel options for those looking to avoid fossil fuels.
The EarthRoamer XV-LT is based on the Ford Super Duty F-550, and is designed for two adults and two children to camp for extended periods of time. The truck will hold 90 gallons of diesel and 85 gallons of fresh water, and includes conveniences like granite counters, a convection microwave, air-conditioning, a king-size bed, and an enclosed shower/bathroom. In addition, with a 17,950 pound gross vehicle weight and 10,000 pound towing capability, you can bring all of your toys along for the ride.
The EarthRoamer XV-JP is based on the Jeep Rubicon Unlimited, and is designed for two adults who want to use the most technical of four-wheel drive trails to reach remote camping destinations. Once in camp, the Loftop gives you nearly 9 feet of interior height, as well as a full queen-size bed in the loft. A drop down rear tent provides bug free living space, and 25 gallons of fresh water will keep you going for as long as you’re willing. Conveniences include an inside cassette toilet, inside shower, sink and cooking facilities, an electric fan, and a forced air furnace for when the nights get a little bit colder and you want to keep things a little bit cozier.
Whether it’s a trail in the middle of the Baja or a pristine secluded beach or a four-month expedition through Alaska, EarthRoamer vehicles are designed to get you through the country in comfort and convenience that few other vehicles can provide.
The Hummer HX concept is one truck that I would love to see make it to the showroom floor without getting smoothed over by the penny pinchers at GM.
Designed to be a Jeep Wrangler competitor, the HX features a 3.6-liter SIDI E85 FlexFuel engine, four wheel drive, a six-speed automatic transmission, and a modular roof that can be opened convertible style.
Considering the fact that the styling isn’t too far off when compared to the current H2 and H3, I can only hope that this is a nearly-there preview of the H4 to come.
This seems like a silly idea: To celebrate Sweetest Day (Thursday, October 18), seven contestants will “lick their way through one of seven chocolate-covered Jeep vehicles”. The first two to finish will then race to candy filled Jeep Liberty’s in search of the keys to a brand new Jeep. (And heartburn)
That idea seems like a bit much to me.
Would you lick the chocolate off of the body of a Jeep for a chance to drive away in it, or is this stomach-turning task too much to ask?
This might look like an ordinary Jeep Grand Cherokee, but with a uniquely located turbo (underneath the transmission) courtesy of John Hennessey, it’s now a Super Cherokee. Though Hennessey was just featured on DYH’s Tuner Tuesday for his 1000hp Viper, it’s hard to not give him a repeat showing with vehicles like this. The $27,900 [...]
