…It’s Things Thursday: Milk & Bread?

Milk And Bread

Melanie Favreau took the little plastic things that keep your bread loafs closed and turned them into sterling silver pieces of jewelry she calls Milk & Bread.

Available as either a ring or a necklace, Milk & Bread are from her appropriately named “Supermarket” store, and can be customized with any text that you’d like.

…Maison Martin Margiela says “Cheers”?

CheersThough I don’t usually agree with a lot of man jewelry, I think I could make an exception for this Cheers ring from Maison Martin Margiela.

With an antique brass look, it doesn’t scream “shiny thing, look at me”, and with a built in bottle opener, it adds a lot of function with just a little bit of form. Plus, the “Cheers” that is engraved in script on the top adds a nice little touch of class to an already classy ring.

Beer rings? I’ll take ’em.

…Ed Janssen is a Charming Man?

Knuckle SandwichEd Janssen is This Charming Man, and creates jewelry pieces that “tend to be quite iconic, reflecting the everyday through a lens of humor that gives his pieces personalities of their own.”

His “knuckle sandwich” necklace is definitely his most popular piece, and for good reason, as the brass knuckles between two pieces of bread has taken on a cult status for its good looks and subtle charm.

…Barbie bits make great jewelry?

Barbie Jewelry

Bring back your youth with these Barbie jewelry pieces form Margaux Lange.

Featuring limbs and leftovers form various plastic dolls that have been cut and mutilated into pieces of jewelry, it’s sure to set you apart.

Plus, it’s morbid in a plasticy sort of way, so you can show off your dark side.
