Theory11, the ‘underground magic & cardistry epicenter’ has created a line of playing cards that are simply unparalleled.
Lines include Propaganda (Playing cards uniquely engineered to military precision, with original, iconic style and unsurpassed quality. A refreshing, industrial spin on modern playing card design with a best in class feel and finish.) Bicycle Centurions (the next standard in playing card design) Bicycle Guardians (The traditional Bicycle back design has been reborn.) and a collaboration with David Blaine called Split Spades, and each is more stunning than the next.
If you’re a poker player, magician, or just someone that wants a little extra design in everything you touch, then definitely check out what Theory11 has to offer, but do it soon, because these cards just might vanish before your very own eyes.
By using the Wiimote/Sensor Bar combination (only reversed) with a specially designed program that he created, Johnny has turned the Wii a low cost Virtual Reality display that even looks believable on YouTube.
David Blaine might be the master of street magic, but any magician that does all of his work in front of a TV lens is begging the question: How many of his ‘magic tricks’ are just a combination of camera tricks and a highly trained audience?
Thankfully, someone finds his style as funny as I do, and has created a spin-off called David Blaine Street Magic: YouTube Edition!
The look on his face is priceless, and you’ll soon find yourself asking; “Hey; You wanna see some magic?”
Magicians are the smoke and mirror masters of deception. Typically, there are two types of magicians: the ones that perform at birthday parties and bar mitzvahs, and the ones that perform in Vegas and on TV. Chris Angel is definitely one of the latter, and has made quite a successful career out of fooling people into believing. One downside to a television career though, is that TV can be slowed down and analyzed (thanks TIVO). A perfect example of this is Angel’s go-cart vanishing trick:
Looks good right?
But what about when you slow it down? Unfortunately for Chris, the frame by frame reveals his ’secret’, which is just an optical illusion that allows him to drive behind instead of into a wall. Tricky, huh?
