…It’s Tuner Tuesday: BRABUS V12 Biturbo G-Wagon?

BRABUS V12 Biturbo G-Wagon

The formula isn’t difficult (big vehicle + powerful motor = WIN) and the end result isn’t beautiful, but for BRABUS, they’re hoping that beauty is in the eye (and right foot) of the beholder.

That’s because BRABUS is calling their V12, Biturbo G-Wagon “the world’s most powerful off-roader”, and with 690 hp and 973 lb-ft of torque on tap, I’m inclined to believe them.

To reach those monster power numbers, they yanked out the stock power plant and replacing it with the V12 from a S600 that was then bored and stroked to a rather healthy 6.3-liter displacement. Add to that mix custom-tailored BRABUS Monoblock wheels, subtle fender flairs, a new suspension, a redone interior, and all of the other bits and pieces that come with a half million dollar redesign, and you’ve got yourself an SUV that will take you to 60 mph in just 4.3 seconds with style and luxury to spare.

…Brabus is making a monster?

Brabus Mercedes-Benz McLaren SLR Roadster

If the Mercedes-Benz McLaren SLR Roadster just doesn’t do it for you, then maybe you need to check out the Brabus edition. (Or get a better sense of what does it for you.)

Featuring a new front spoiler made of exposed carbon fiber, a carbon fiber rear diffuser, 20 inch Brabus Monoblock VI wheels, special camshafts, a fuel cooling system, high-performance exhaust (the car is now up to 650hp from the supercharged V8) and a clutch-type limited-slip differential, the roadster will now get to 62 mph in just 3.6 seconds, with a new top speed of 209 mph.

Inside, there’s now custom leather trim, a flat-bottom sports steering wheel with integrated buttons for shifting gears, and carbon fiber trim for the dashboard, center console, and door.

Need more?

That’s just too damn bad, because it might not be possible.
