…It’s Website Wednesday: I Got An Envelope?

If you liked PostSecret, then you’ll want to check out IGotAnEnvelope, as it follows a similar formula.

IGotAnEnvelope is a continuous art project where people leave empty self-addressed stamped envelopes in public places to be picked up and filled by others, who then send them back.

To participate:

  1. Write the following message on a small sheet of paper:

Dear finder, put something personal inside the envelope and then return it to me. Be as original and artistic as possible and the content of the envelope will be submitted to igotanenvelope.com.

  2. Attach the sheet (with a paper clip) to the envelope.
  3. Write your address and put a valid stamp on the envelope.
  4. Leave the envelope in a public place and wait for its return.

Take a close-up picture of the content, or scan it, and email it at igotanenvelope@gmail.com (be sure to indicate where you left your envelope).

You can also check out the IGotAnEnvelope site for photos of the envelopes that have been returned so far, and there are some really fantastic results, so I recommend giving it a look.

…It’s Things Thursday: Other People’s Love Letters?

Other People’s Love Letters

Other People’s Love Letters is a collection of things you were never meant to see.

Fevered notes scribbled on napkins after first dates.

Titillating text messages.

It’s-not-you-it’s-me relationship-enders.

A heaping helpful of honest missives full of lust, provocation, guilt, and vulnerability-written for a lover’s eyes only.

In the style of PostSecret, Other People’s Love Letters is filled with found messages and lost notes, and provides a look into another life; a behind the scenes glance into another world that is often not unlike your own.

Give it as a gift, or keep it for yourself, but be sure to see what OPLL is all about, because love is a terrible thing to waste.
