…It’s Things Thursday: DigiDudes?

DigiDudes are “funky, portable camera tripod and keychains with attitude”.

To use, simply screw off the dude’s head and pull out the retractable legs. The keychain allows you to attach the dude to your camera bag or backpack, making it the perfect on-the-go camera mount for when you just need something that’s a little more stable.

The five dudes are Pinky Scorsese, Snot Buster, 1iChomp, BoltBot, and G-bling-Money-Son, and each comes with its own personality and attitude.

…Candy vodka needs gummy shot glasses?

Gummy Shot Glasses

Sure, you’ve made a gallon of Skittles Flavored Vodka, and you’ve even managed to make it taste all right, but you don’t just want to drink that creation out of a plain old shot glass now, do you?

If you’re looking to keep the quirky booze theme going, then how about edible gummy shot glasses?

Thankfully, Instructables has put together a set of instructions for creating such concoctions, and since it basically involves little more than microwaving gummy worms and then adding the goop to a silicone mold, you’ll be drinking out of a gummy glass in no time!

Just remember to count your drinks though before chowing down, because gummy/candy hangovers are the worst!

…The Polaroid and the Viper are dead?

Viper PolaroidIf you’re still using a Polaroid camera to capture life on film, then be sure to snap a shot of the next Dodge Viper that you see, because both are soon going to be gone.

Polaroid has confirmed that they will no longer produce instant film after this year, and it’s rumored that Dodge will no longer be making the Viper after 2011, which means that the loss of a quirky technology and a venomous supercar come as a one two punch.

All is not lost however, as old Polaroid cameras can turn into quite the clever webcam, and the Viper’s demise hopefully means that Dodge has another supercar in the works, but the news definitely puts a damper on my dreams of Viper ownership. (The Viper was the car that got me excited about cars in the first place.)

Excuse me now while I mourn.

…You can be a part of the Junoverse?

In addition to being one of the best films of the year, Juno also has a few more things going for it:

1. One of the best opening title sequences I’ve seen in a while. The hand-made sequence was created by Shadowplay Studio, and lends itself nicely to the quirky and creative tone of the film itself.

2. A great soundtrack with a great ecard creation tool/marketing ploy. Just upload your face, add pieces of Juno flair, and send to a friend. You’ll be part of the Junoverse in no time.
