…The Zenvo ST1 is one fast ride?

Zenvo ST1

It may look like the combination of a VW GTI grill, Maserati Corse hood, Lamborghini Murcielago side scoops, Lexus IS-F gill slits, Ferrari F599 quarter windows and F430 side mirrors, Nissan 370Z roof and GT-R taillights, but when you’ve got 1,104 horses of turbocharged AND supercharged power under the hood, no one’s really going to see anything but a blurry view of the rear bumper.

Called The Zenvo ST1, this Danish supercar has been in the works since 2004, but is just now going through its final stages of testing and is expected to see the light of day (all 15 of them) some time in early 2009.

Zenvo ST1 Detail

Specs include the twin-charged 7.0-liter V8, six-speed manual gearbox, rear-wheel-drive, and plenty of carbon fiber to keep the weight down, and stats come in at 3.2 to 62 mph, 120 mph in under nine seconds, and a top speed of 233 mph.

No pricing information is currently available, but if you have to ask…

…Audi’s R8 GT3 is ready to race?

Audi R8 GT3

Go racing in style with Audi’s R8 GT3.

Designed to compete in rear-wheel-drive, GT3-spec racing, the R8 GT3 will more than likely break through the 500 HP barrier, as well as tack on a six-speed sequential sports gearbox, tons of carbon fiber bits and pieces, and the aerodynamic changes seen here. Due to GT3 rules, the suspension will more or less stay the same, but who’s going to complain about that?

…Scion xBs need more power?

Scion xB

Want to drive a toaster in the fast lane?

Then follow in this Scion xB owner’s footsteps and shoehorn a stroked 350 V8 into the engine compartment that then feeds 450 newly discovered horses into the converted rear wheel drive axle.

That’ll get the job done. Right?

…It’s Tuner Tuesday: SSC Ultimate Aero TT?

SSC Ultimate Aero

SSC might only have one model, but what they lack in variety, they make up for in heart. That’s because SSC wants to challenge the big boy and take on the Bugatti Veyron for the title of World’s Fastest Production Car. Their pride and joy, the Ultimate Aero TT, isn’t just some kit car with a prayer though; it’s a low-slung beast with power to spare.

Features include 1183 horsepower coming from the twin turbo V8, rear wheel drive, carbon fiber body, 14” brakes, a .357 drag coefficient, and a one-year, unlimited mile warranty (no, really). The end result is a rocket to 60 in 2.78 seconds, a quarter mile time of 9.90 seconds at 144 mph, 1.05 gs on the skidpad, and the ability to go from 0 to 100 to 0 again in 11.66 seconds.

So how did it do on its high speed test run? Not too bad considering the run was cut short by snow! The driver managed 230 mph with just 56% of 6th gear’s throttle, and felt that there was “a lot more to go”. There better be, because the current record is 253 mph (as verified by Top Gear). I’ll be sure to keep you up to date on the progress that gets made towards the record, but until then, make sure to:

  1. Check out the site and ogle a few of the pictures
  2. Catch the car on Spike TV’s Bullrun
  3. Stand in front of it if Eddie Griffin gets behind the wheel.
