…SKAGGS shot a lot of water?

Water Bottles

A TOTO HET toilet can save up to 24,655 gallons of water per year, but how do you show that visually so that you can truly grasp what a number like that means?

That’s the question that SKAGGS faced for their latest photo shoot, and the answer involved “2 months of planning, 1 trip from El Paso to Dallas and back, 1,000 – 5 gallon water bottles, 3 trucks, 2 tractors, 1 buggy and a whole lot of man (and woman) power”.

…Paper and plastic are bad?

Paper Or Plastic?

Which do you choose?

If you’re trying to save the world, then your answer should be neither, as both come with downsides that negatively (and drastically) affect the environment.

To see exactly what each choice is doing to the environment, check out the The Washington Post’s comparison; because small changes are needed if we want to make a big difference.

…Death Village is scarry?

Death Village

Death Village is a fantastic Flash game that lets you play as friendly ghosts that are trying to get Kevin the real estate agent out of the front door without scaring him to death.

The controls are easy, as you simply click around to make various actions happen, but it’s all about timing.

Can you save Kevin?

…It’s Things Thursday: Steam storewide sale?

Steam

Valve is on top of the gaming world right now, and their Steam system is a great way to get new games.

If you’ve been holding off on getting yourself The Orange Box (and if you have a PC, you NEED this set of games), or any of the other titles in Valve’s repertoire (BioShock, Call of Duty, Quake, etc.) then be sure to check out their first-ever Steam storewide sale.

Every game in every genre from every developer and publisher on Steam is now on sale, and you can save 10-50% through January 1st. Plus, if you’re trying to make up for a poorly chosen gift, they also allow you to give the gift of game to friends and family through the Steam system.

…It’s Website Wednesday: 1968Pennies.com?

1968 Pennies

In 1968, 4,858,503,583 pennies were minted.

Today, thanks to lint traps, pool filters, fountain cleaners, and tails up bad luck, many of them are no longer with us.

To help save those that remain, 1968Pennies.com is putting together the world’s largest collection of 1968 pennies, and they’re asking for your help to do it.

Anyone can donate a penny to the collection, and as long as it’s a certifiable 1968 penny, you’ll have your name added to the list of contributors for eternity. (Or until the site shuts down.)

Remember though: A penny saved is a penny earned!
