…The Titan Air Jack is useful?

Titan Air JackThe Titan Exhaust Air Jack in an interesting idea in that it uses your car’s own exhaust gases to inflate a bag that then acts as a jack, lifting one side of your vehicle off the ground so that you can work on it.

The Titan Exhaust Air Jack is designed to lift your vehicle is seconds by its own exhaust gas. The one-way back valve can keep the jack inflated for up to 45 minutes and will deflate in only 5 seconds. The Titan Exhaust Air Jack is inflated via hose which connects to the vehicle’s exhaust and can be used to lift cars, trucks, trailers and boat trailers in unstable areas of mud, sand & snow.

It was originally designed for off-road use, so it’s plenty versatile, and there are no negative side effects from using the air jack on your car, so you don’t need to worry about what it’s doing to the engine.

…The Skibike MkII is a snow machine?

Skibike MkII

On my last trip to the snow, I saw a few folks running around the mountain on snow bikes, and it looked like a blast.

However, while the whole bike with skis for tires idea sounded like a lot of fun, the lack of suspension made it look like it would be less than fun after just a few minutes.

If you’re just dying to ditch the skis for something new though, then check out Boozhound Laboratories’ full suspension Skibike MkII. It takes the snow bound bike idea and adds in up to 10 inches of suspension travel for a cushy ride that’s sure to be easier on your tushy.

…It’s Movie Monday: Snow Park Rally?

Remember the pics of Ken Block jumping his Subaru around in the snow?

Well now there’s video, and it’s equally amazing:

In addition to that video, there’s also a few others at the DC Shoes site, so be sure to check those out as well.

Anyone want to sponsor a DYH WRX?

…USPS is impressive?

Mail is a magical thing.

You handwrite an address on an envelope and attach a stamp to the outside, and a few days later your letter arrives exactly where it’s supposed to be.

So how does the USPS manage to handle 703 million pieces of mail per day?

Good Magazine has put together an impressive graphic representation of a comparison between FedEx, UPS, DHL and the USPS, and the numbers are staggering:

700,000 employees, $73 billion revenue, 37,000 post offices, and 216,000 vehicles, all to deliver you your bills, Netflix, and credit card offers.

Rain, sleet or snow indeed.

…Ken Block can fly?

Ken Block

I am now officially jealous of Ken Block.

After getting to jump his rally prepped Subaru WRX 171 feet for a new world record, he got to jump it over 70 feet in the snow for the cover of Snowboarder magazine.

The stunt was performed at New Zealand’s Snow Park Record, and used a specially prepared 55-foot ramp to put him alongside some very brave snowboarders during the jump.

I just hope Space Jam’s “I Believe I can Fly” played over his stereo the entire time.
