Miniot iPad 2 Real Wood Cover

Miniot iPad 2 Cover

I’ve always been a fan of Apple’s own cases, as they’re usually designed with the minimalism that Apple is famous for, and work as they’re intended to, but the new iPad 2 cover from Miniot is making me reconsider my devotion.

Made from a single piece of real wood, it fits snugly to the edges of the iPad 2, and uses magnets to attach itself, just like Apple’s cover, allowing the Miniot cover to wake and sleep the device as intended. It can also be rolled into a stand, or folded out of the way when it’s time to read, so its good looks don’t get in the way of functionality.

…The ClamCase turns your iPad into a netbook?

The ClamCase is the first of what I’m sure will be many iPad cases that include a Bluetooth enabled keyboard, essentially turning your new device into a netbook/laptop.

The design actually looks pretty slick, and it also acts as a stand and extra protection when you don’t need the keyboard, so keep and eye out for the release if you’ve been looking for a way to expand the capabilities of your iPad.

…It’s Things Thursday: DODOcase?

The limited edition DODOcase is a beautiful, hand made iPad case that is designed to protect it from extinction.

Inspired by Moleskine journals and made by hand in San Francisco using traditional book binding techniques, the case blends the traditional feel of a book with the technological power of the iPad. With an interior made from bamboo and a faux leather cover, it’s also environmentally friendly, so you can rest easy if that’s a check box in your buying decision.

Lastly, the cover is designed to be folded back so you can stand your iPad, and an elastic strap keeps the cover tight when you’re on the go.

If the Apple case isn’t doing it for you, and you want to make sure your iPad stands out from the crowd, then definitely give the DODOcase a look, because there’s really just nothing like it that’s alive today.
