Though Super Mario didn’t arrive until more than 500 years after the invention of chess, the union of the two still seems like destiny.
The Super Mario chess set from USAopoly lets you battle for control of the Mushroom Kingdom with 32 hand-painted playing pieces, including Mario, Luigi, Princess Peach, Yoshi, Bowser, Goombas, and more.
Any Super Mario fan will definitely appreciate the humor in Bowser’s Minions.
For me, the sounds and the long lost characters brought back flashbacks of childhood gaming, and I loved the idea of Mario’s enemies grouping together and revolting against the restrictions placed upon them by Bowser/Nintendo to keep the game playable.
Super Mario Fusion might be the best Mario to date.
Created by a fan, it will feature guest characters, widely varied worlds, and a completely new weapon system in addition to the standard Mario weapons (shell, fireball, etc.).
To quote the creator: “Think of this game as Mushroom Kingdom Hearts of sorts.”
Planed worlds include Sonic, Megaman, Castlevania, Halo, SHMUPS, Nintendo, and more, and each one will be unique.

Paper Mario World is an impressively thorough Flash game.
Though it’s only one world, the graphics, music, and controls are all true to Mario form, and it’s got plenty of side scrolling action for the fans. Plus, there are even secrets and bosses to round it all out, so get ready to once again smash and [...]
I can’t even imagine how long this took; though I also can’t decide if it was probably too long, or not long enough.
I do know this however: A Mario flip book that follows the super plumber through an entire level is flippin’ awesome!
