…It’s TGI Friday: 99 Bricks?

99 Bricks

I got 99 problems but a brick ain’t one.

99 Bricks is like an anti-Tetris. The goal is to use 99 bricks to create a tower that is as tall as you can make it, but in 99 Bricks, and unlike in Tetris, the blogs have a bit of give to them.

The result is that as the tower gets taller, it starts to sway and wobble under its own weight, and one misplaced brick can bring the whole thing crashing to the ground.

The controls are simple, the graphics are simply perfect, and the concept is easy to understand, but difficult to master, so it’s the perfect weekend time waster.

Be prepared though, because this one’s addicting.

…The Mac Mini Pro has been made?

Mac Mini Pro

Apple doesn’t make one, so what do you do if you want a mini Mac tower?

Make one yourself.

Seen above are the results of one talented modder’s mission to create a tower out of Mac parts that kept with the general styling of Macputers.

The Mac Mini Pro is built around a Mac Mini, and features an aluminum case that is modeled after the Mac Pro, an additional USB port and power button in the front, and a slide-off side cover that exposes the hard drive for easy swaps.

…Desktop Tower Defense is now Version 1.5?

Desktop Tower Defense Version 1.5

Desktop Tower Defense is back (Version 1.5), and with all new towers, all new creeps, all new abilities, and a long list of additional improvements, it’s an all new game.

Notable improvements include Morph Creeps, which transform into other creeps as they move, Dark Creeps, which take a special kind of tower to damage, Ink Towers, which damage creeps as they walk over the ink, Snap Towers, which fire once with huge damage, and Boost Towers, which add damage to the towers around it.

The interface has also been improved, and the sounds are all new, for an overall better experience.

Now what are you waiting for; go kill some creeps!

…You should be playing Desktop Tower Defense?

Desktop Tower Defense is one of the best and most fun online Flash games I’ve played in quite some time. “You have to stop your enemies, or ‘creeps’, from traveling all the way across the screen. Tower pieces can be purchased and placed on the map to kill the creeps before they make it across”. It sounds easy, but once you get into it, you’ll quickly get addicted. Don’t say I didn’t warn you.
