…It’s Tuner Tuesday: Audi R8 V12 TDI LeMans?

Audi R8 V12 TDI LeMans

Though the US is still having trouble wrapping its head around the power and potential of diesel, Audi seems well aware of what it can do, and has developed the R8 V12 TDI LeMans concept car to help them strut their stuff.

Featuring “the first 12-cylinder diesel engine in a high-performance roadgoing sports car”, it generates 500 hp and 737 lb-ft of torque, propelling the car from zero to 62 mph in just 4.2 seconds, with a top speed of well over 186 mph.

Peak torque?

It’s reached at just 1,750 rpm, meaning “effortless acceleration” that is without rival.

Thus, the question becomes: Would you switch gas pumps for a car like this?

My guess: Yes, yes you would.

…Cocaine is bad for the brain?

Caution: This video is very graphic.

In Australia, they apparently don’t have to hold back for their PSAs like they do in the US.

To teach people the dangers of cocaine, this clip follows a man as he enters a bathroom, peels back his head, and then proceeds to snort down a little piece of his own brain.

It gets the message across loud and clear, but is definitely not for the squeamish.

…Some stores are large?

Store Space Graph

If you add up all of the floor space for some of the most common stores in the US, you would see that Wal-Mart covers more acreage than all of Manhattan.

Continuing down the graph, McDonalds is about one and a half times as large as Central Park, and then the rest of the stores sort of stand in line from there.

Just be glad that you’re not the one that has to clean all of that up.

Edit: Wonder where they all are?

Here’s a video of Wal-Mart’s almost bacteria like growth:
