The Los Angeles Fire Department has its own Flickr account, which it uses to post some great on-scene photos that give an inside peak into the world of a firefighter. They were even kind enough to geo-tag the photos so that you can see exactly where each event took place. Hot.

Hey, cool stuff! I’ve made them my flickr friend. Thanks!
By the way, I almost didn’t reply because I had to sign up to do so. Also, I can barely read my grey-on-grey words as I type them in…
Pocketlama,
Sorry about the sign up requirement, it’s just used as a method of combating spam (no random emails, I promise). Also, I’ve taken note of the poor use of gray-on-gray (it came with the theme), so I’ll work on getting the comment box fixed ASAP (Which is as soon as I can figure out what to change. Any Wordpress theme experts out there?). Cool stuff from the LAFD though, huh?
Wow – I didn't know that. What a great way for fire departments to reach out to the community and promote fire safety.
