Gizmodo managed to get their hands on a real live Zune and give it a few first impressions. What’d they think? “Overall, this seems pretty promising. I can’t find any mis-steps or anything where I have to ask “wait, this is dumb, why did you do this?” in both the player and the software. The Zune itself is very sexy, and feels nice to the touch—not too heavy”. Does it look like a promising competitor to the iPod dominance? Yes. Will it soon have us toting around Zunes and tossing iPods in the garbage? My guess is no, but only time will tell how deep the iBlood runs.
