I think twitter might be more useful / interesting for me to — rather than state what I am DOING — to say what I am THINKING… sort of a one-line blogging.

I put an RSS Feed widget for my twitter… on the sidebar of my blog…

I titled it, “What I’m Thinking…”

This way, if I feel like blogging something that’s only a one-liner… I can simply enter it into twitter.

If it justifies an entire paragraph or more, I can still write a blog item… But for that quick little thought that I can say in 140 characters… I use twitter to place the “one-liner” onto my blog… super simple, and instantaneous.

I don’t think anyone REALLY cares what I am DOING every moment of the day… However, I think that some of the one-line thoughts I have… can be important… to some people.

Definitely some solid ground rules. We’ll see if some of them start getting implemented as Twitter continues to grow…

I’ve had the same thoughts about Twitter… I get a little annoyed when I see “reply to” tweets and I can’t read what’s being replied to because that person is not my friend. I also get a bit tired of hearing people talk about Twitter so much… but what can you do? People are going to use it however they want and I don’t think we can stop them… hopefully they’ll just get tired of it!
