All good points. One of the suggestions was an mp3 player for runners. I’d recommend the iPod Nano. It works with something pictured in the photo Cory picked to showcase these articles, the Nike sensor. For about $30 extra, you can get a sensor to go in the bottom of your iPod that will record your runs and allow you to set goals. This was one of the most encouraging things to my wife and I as we started running late last year.
I definitely agree. I’ve been using the Nike/iPod sensor for the last five months, and it’s an easy (and comparatively cheap) way of tracking your progress. You can even get a sensor holder so that you can attach the sensor to any pair of shoes, and not just the Nike ones.
Plus, when you break your own records or go on an extra long run, you get words of encouragement from Lance Armstrong!
