Yeargh! I have no words! This artical was written like a true farkwit! Use a razor blade on your windscreen? Are you mental?! Jesbus… use a plastic credit card and carefully, unless you want to leave a load of tiny scratches all over your glass. And nailpolish as a quick fix for paint? Umm.. no! Get thee some proper spray on car paint and use a damn primer first. As for dents, you’re better off getting hold of a suction cup – a heavy duty plunger if you’re that cheap. Also, using hand sanitiser might do the job, but so would some cheap vodka and frankly, if you wouldn’t put vodka into your locks, don;t be putting hand sanitiser into them.
Apologies, Cory, but the only people who actually do these ‘amazing’ money saving tips are the ones with sh***y cars ;)
Not a fan of the razor blade idea huh?
In all fairness, I had a friend that worked at a high dollar car was down in Los Angeles and he said that even there they cleaned the windows with a razor, but I can see both sides of the argument. I’d prefer a rougher sponge and a good bit of elbow grease personally, but that’s just me.
I agree with the no on the nail polish as a paint fix idea. That just seems like a poor idea from the beginning.
As for the dent trick, I’ve actually heard that it’s a pretty good way to get dents out. (creases no, but dents, yes) Perhaps the suction cup idea works too, but I wouldn’t discount the power of a hot/cold cycle.
Finally, for the hand sanitizer lock trick, this one seems a bit out there for me as well, so I’m not exactly going to be trying it on my car any time soon.
Obviously these aren’t exactly tips to keep up your Ferrari, but I’d hope that those with a Ferrari aren’t working on it DIY style anyways. :)
Vinegar is usually the best thing to use on windscreens, and a bit of elbow grease obviously. I’m surprised your mate used a razor blade, perhaps it’s all in *how* you do it?
I don’t own a ferrari, my car cost me £600 (around 1,200 USD), but I still wouldn’t use these ‘tips’ :)

Vinegar, huh? I’ll have to try that out. My friend wasn’t the one doing the windows, but he said that the guys there who did the windows did it with a razor blade. Obviously they’d had some practice though, so I’m guessing the “how” was no longer an issue.
